Has anyone had success with improving symptoms of auditory hallucinations when the psychosis symptoms stem from an original trauma?

Hi Folks. I took Basic over 1 year ago and have completed about 50 hours or more of ART sessions and now that I have gotten my feet wet, I am ready to explore what other folks are doing with ART. I am working on the certification process. Since the required “consultations” aren’t labeled by topic, I would be grateful to others for recommendations of excellent consultation sessions in the archives, particularly in the areas of first responder trauma, grief, sexual trauma, obsessive thinking, anxiety/panic and OCD. They are listed by date and facilitator so that is the information I would need to find them. I am looking forward to learning what others are doing and what is working. Thanking you in advance.

My name is JD Eddins. I completed the Basic training for ART in March in Bentonville, AR. Since this week I completed my 15th session, so I am making my way towards the 30 sessions mark in order to complete certification. I look forward to learning more from this community.

Hi all, I have just joined a new practice, and I am going back to an old niche. Really grateful to be concentrating on chronic illness, cancer and grief and loss. I am looking for other people working with similar patient/client populations to connect.

Hello all! I am working with a client who has complex trauma from her family of origin and she is seeing these problems now in her intimate relationship. There are topics of fear of abandonment, control, and manipulation of conflict to affect the outcome (to ensure safety). My client has a lot of strong emotional responses such as anger and defensive behaviors. Where would be the best place to start here with ART? I have a thousand ideas but cannot pick just one. Thank you all so much!

Hello ART world! I attending my first ART training last month and loved it. I have done about 4-5 sessions so far, and I feel like I still have a lot to learn. I’m looking forward to using this modality with my clients and especially with ones coming to work through grief. I’m excited to keep learning and getting better at working with this modality. 🙂

I did my basic training this past weekend and it was life changing! That is not an expression I use lightly, either. I have done EMDR for over 8 years and only recently discovered ART. I feel like this is what my clients have been missing in their healing journey. I can’t wait to continue learning and growing in ART.

How would you help a client who is bothered by their indifference that is a side effect of their antidepressants? Their concern is not primarily about indifference in session, but it stands to reason that it may present a problem there too. Instead, they are concerned with their indifference at work, and life in general. In their field of work, empathy is as necessary to them, as ours is to us.

I work in a hospital setting and my boss is inquiring how we can gather quantitative data for patient success with ART. I use the artometer during sessions, and the log after sessions, but I am not sure if I can use this data when sharing with the general population. I understand that ART material may not be reproduced or distributed, so I am seeking advice on how to share/collect patient success without overstepping.
